Milton Ride  22-10-05  with Gary, Ray, Mark & Kim

Wheelie Garry WR450F
Husky Ray TE250F
GPS Mark WR250F
KTMKim 525 EXC

We began riding at 0830 from Milton fire station. Garry picked up his front wheel in front of me at 72kph and put it down at 120kph !

We came down into the gulley and formed a new access track to the bottom to avoid the log that GPS Mark endoed on the last ride there. Garry rode up the bank, I tried to follow but slid off the side and dropped the bike into the creek bed (see photos on website). Mark had dropped his phone and I found it after it had been roosted by Garry or me but it was ok !

There have been some extensive logging operations towards Termeil so some of the single-line tracks are now logging tracks.

When we got to East Lynne Garry had done 3.5ks less than me on the odometer - mainly because his front wheel was off the ground for 3.5ks more than mine !

We met two French tourists at the lunch stop cycling on recumbents from Cairns to Melbourne, then six weeks in NZ, four months in South America followed by four months in North America !

Just passed a creek crossing I hit a mound at speed which was fine until I had to turn and speared off into the bush, luckily with no contact to anything dangerous except my pride as Garry had seen it all !

I took a short route home from the upside down bridge as my rear alloy sprocket only had three full teeth on it (the rest had broken off during the ride) and got back at 1630.

Apparently GPS Mark gave up on a hill but this is unconfirmed as I was not there to record it ! I never saw Ray perform any stunts so the Husky must have performed up to it's fine European heritage.

The others returned to the fire station at 1715, just as it down poured with rain !

When they got back GPS Mark had some frozen beers which made Garry the first person I have ever heard complain that the beers were too cold !

The tracks were loamy, the weather not too hot, no dust and we had a great days riding.
